Hi, I’m Catie! I am an emerging Australian artist whose work moves between colourful, textured pieces and moody acrylic realism. I have always loved painting. First, for myself as a way to slow down and get creative, then as gifts for my family and friends, and now as artwork I am proud to share with others!

 

My process is intuitive. I use a mix of freedom and control. My textured work is a peaceful process of textures, shape and movement. My acrylic ‘martini’ pieces require concentration and control. Some paintings take weeks of layering, acrylic details and beading until the piece feels right. Other ideas arrive as a burst of inspiration and take shape in a matter of hours late into the night.

 

My hope is that my art brings a moment of beauty, warmth and connection to whoever welcomes it into their space.
